VISAJ is a joint interdisciplinary, intersectoral and inter-order research chair between the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC) and the Cégep de Jonquière. This university/college chair status is UNIQUE in Quebec.
Mission
Contribute to the development and mobilization of knowledge on the life and health of youths.
Research Objectives
The VISAJ Chair has two major objectives:
- Produce unprecedented knowledge on highlighting and promoting the positive aspects of youths, specifically on their health and well-being, their capacities and their educational, professional and migratory aspirations;
- Study youths in their multiple life contexts (family, school, region, etc.) to better understand the processes and mechanisms associated with their health, their psychosocial adaptation and the development or crystallization of social inequalities.
