Theoretical perspectives

VISAJ works mainly in an interdisciplinary (psychology, sociology, demography, urban planning, education), intersectoral (human sciences, health sciences and genetics) and interorder (college and university) framework and its work is conducted from an ecological perspective (Bronfenbrenner, 1977; 2006). This approach is integrated throughout all of our work, since it aims for an in-depth understanding of human development and behaviour, paying particular attention to the relational, social, political and temporal contexts in which people evolve, as well as to the interactions between these environments.
