Determinants of migratory status at age 24 in a cohort of young Saguenéens and Jeannois
Registered under axis 3, this project focuses on the psychosocial development and the educational and migratory paths of young people (Thivierge, Blackburn et al., 2015). Data from the Enquête Longitudinale auprès d’Élèves Saguenéens et Jeannois (ELESJ) (longitudinal survey of Saguenéennes and Jeannois students) make it possible to study the determinants of migration and educational aspirations in order to develop courses of action to promote professional integration and the long-term establishment of young people in the region. The ELESJ is a follow-up of a cohort of 605, 14-year-old students that began in 2002 and will continue until 2023. To date, six cycles of data collection have made it possible to monitor changes in the lifestyles, behaviours and values and aspirations of these youths. The ELESJ also provides unpublished data on their educational and professional backgrounds, as well as on their mental and psychosocial health.
An article has been published outlining the main findings of this project in the Jeunes et Société journal.
